Inducta programs are the most user friendly analysis packages that I have come across in my 11 years in the field of engineering, the interface is practical and the 3D viewing tools and interactive stress diagrams increase the speed significantly at which one can develop an understanding of how a building is performing. I find using the Inducta software packages to be intuitive and quick. Apart from the ability to effectively and efficiently model anything from slabs to columns to tilt panels to whole buildings, one of the great advantages of the Inducta software is that it is easy to detect user modelling errors compared with other software packages. This is excellent when conducting project reviews.

I utilised the RC Building package to fully model a 5 storey building (1400m2 per floor), do a full earthquake spectral analysis, review and redesign the stair core, lift core and 6 shear walls from top to bottom all within the space of 4 hours! I was able to half the reinforcement in all these walls, reduce wall thicknesses and reduce concrete grades compared to the tabled design. I was even able to give a precast option for cost comparison. We were able to make enough savings to keep our client on budget. Not only were they impressed with our savings, they were impressed at the speed of our response.
